It is also worth noting, that operating systems seem to really trip Oblivion out.
#OBLIVION RELOADED RENDER BOOST PATCH#
Also, I use the typically suggested version of ENB (I am pretty sure it's the wrapper?) I also installed OR (and all my mods) manually, using Wrye Bash or the bashed patch and general organization.
#OBLIVION RELOADED RENDER BOOST MOD#
It's possible OR's default settings interfere with it at some point, as I used the OR ini from the Bevilex mod list that toggles off a number of it's options as a starting point for tweaking OR myself. (for controller use) I recently swapped to using it with ENBoost instead, and that works as well. (as well as with OBSE) I use the steam overlay and the big picture overlay. Hi! I have been using ENB and OR together on steam just fine.
#OBLIVION RELOADED RENDER BOOST INSTALL#
How does one install ENB for the Steam version of the game anyways?Īnybody else more knowledgable with modding the game on Steam, and especially using ENB with Steam, care to chime in? Sounds to me like the ENB integration needs to be refitted to work with Steam. So, if I got that right, launching through OBMM or Vortex launches the ENB integration but doesn't launch through Steam, so the OBSE integration doesn't work.Īnd launching through Steam does run the integration fine and everything OBSE works correctly, but ENB doesn't launch. There should be documentation for this though. Depending on how either of these works, one or the other should definitely be the right one to use with Steam. However, there's 2 different means to get ENB to run with the game, as far as I know: The wrapper and the injector.
#OBLIVION RELOADED RENDER BOOST HOW TO#
The "obse_steam_loader.dll" has to be the right one, though that one gladly only very rarely changes.Īnd how to get it so ENB still launches when you launch the game through Steam (a must when you want to use the OBSE integration, the "obse_loader.exe" cannot be used for Steam, or at least it can't for "most" of the versions/updates I know of) is completely unknown to me. Sometimes the "enable Steam overlay in-game" has to be checked, sometimes it mustn't.
#OBLIVION RELOADED RENDER BOOST UPDATE#
It's just unnerving that the correct means of integration of these run-on-start or hook-into-memory tools regularly change(d) with every new update to Steam: Sadly I don't know much about Steam and the many ways its patches broke several integrations in different ways over the years, but one thing I can tell, it could always be fixed. But you not using any of the "virtual" file system based managers helps a lot, so you don't "have" to use the manager to run the game with mods. It doesn't but It seems to render better with that on and it may need to be upped for my mod to work.Hmm, Steam's the most complicated one. Put up to 45 on both has the effect my mod does. 9 really is plenty though, I'm so happy with 9. Past ten not just reflections the water surface its self is completely messed up, vast squares of the surface are invisible. Why only 7-9? The higher the number the further you see buildings and other scenery but the worse water graphics appear. If anyone has a fix for this that would be cool, perhaps there's a downloadable water mod would suffer a better fate? I could put up with it but I prefer them off, however its totally worth it in my view, the reflections get "Stair Casey" anyway. Here's the catch this will make you see buildings and scenery huge amount further yet will completely mess up water reflections (reflected sky appears where it shouldn't) you may what to turn water reflections off. Go to your oblivion.ini (should be in my documents/my games/oblivion/):Ĭhange value to 7 or 9 even numbers will be raised 1 and made odd.

I 'Couldn't find a fix anywhere, yet can't stand buildings popping up out of nowhere, totally ruins the atmosphere.Īnyway after the internet didn't provide I found my own tweek messing around in the Oblivion.ini Had the same problem, thought I was never gunna get a quick fix for this, let alone fix it myself.
